Tariffs, Urso: ‘If reciprocal tariffs are set at 20%, there will be a 10% impact on exports’

Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – ‘Any forecast estimate can now be refuted by developments in the situation. In any case, if the situation remains as it is and does not change, the ministry's research centre has estimated an impact of around 10% on Italian exports to the US in the event of reciprocal tariffs of 20%.’ This was stated by the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, in his report to the Senate on tariffs. ‘While the impact would fall to 6.5% if the tariffs were halved, i.e. to 10% of reciprocal tariffs, these are only hypotheses,’ he stressed.
