Milan, June 18 (LaPresse) – In the first four months of 2025, €6.5 billion in allowances were paid to families, adding to the €19.8 billion paid in 2024, €18.2 billion in 2023, and €13.2 billion in 2022. These figures are contained in the update of the Statistical Observatory on the Universal Child Allowance (AUU) published today by INPS (the Italian National Social Security Institute) with reference to the period March 2022-April 2025, which also includes data on the AUU for households receiving Citizenship Income until December 2023.According to INPS, 6,084,229 households received the allowance in 2025, for a total of 9,620,004 children: the average amount per child in April 2025, including applicable increases, stands at €167, ranging from approximately €57 for those who do not submit an ISEE or exceed the maximum threshold (which for 2025 is €45,939.56) to €224 for the minimum ISEE class (€17,227.33 for 2025).
