Milan, 29 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘Airbus yesterday informed all airlines worldwide of the need for software modifications to certain aircraft in the A320 family. On this basis, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has ordered that these modifications be implemented by this evening.’ This was stated by ITA in a press release. ‘This case,’ the statement continued, "also affected some aircraft in the ITA Airways fleet. Since yesterday evening, ITA Airways' technical teams have been working tirelessly to assess the real impact of the phenomenon and define the actions to be taken to minimise the repercussions on operations in order to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, which is the Company's top priority. A programme of extraordinary interventions on the affected aircraft was therefore defined, which began this morning and is continuing as planned and will be completed within the deadline set by the authorities."
