Rome, 19 March (LaPresse) – The Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Senator Adolfo Urso, and the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Mr Giancarlo Giorgetti, have already launched, as of this morning and in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza, an immediate inspection of the fuel distribution network, as provided for by the decree-law approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers and already published in the Official Gazette, which confers new, significant and extraordinary powers on the Mimit Price Ombudsman. A meeting of the Rapid Alert Commission’s Steering Committee is currently underway at Palazzo Piacentini, during which the Price Ombudsman will provide the Guardia di Finanza with a detailed list of distribution operators and the relevant oil companies that have not yet adjusted fuel prices in line with the excise duty cut, for immediate and extraordinary monitoring across the entire road and motorway network.
