Rome, 13 June (LaPresse) – Rising prices are affecting Italians’ holidays; due to the price hikes – which are in turn caused by the ‘Iran effect’ and rising energy costs – they are being forced to rethink their plans and spending. This is the picture painted by Assoutenti in its ‘2026 Holiday Report’. The analysis of the costs citizens will face for a holiday highlights how a family with two children could end up spending an average of €2,000 for a week in a hotel in August in the main Italian resorts. Ferry fares are up by 11%, whilst international airfares are down by 23%.
