Venice 82: Del Toro's “Frankenstein” receives over 13 minutes of applause

Venice, 31 August (LaPresse) – Ovation and over 13 minutes of applause in the main theatre for Guillermo Del Toro's film “Frankenstein”, one of the films in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Enthusiasm especially from the international press present at the Lido. The film, yet another adaptation of Mary Shelley's famous novel, starring Oscar Isaac as Dr Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as the creature, is now one of the favourites to win the Golden Lion. For the Mexican director, it would be his second triumph in Venice after his 2017 win with the film “The Shape of Water”.
