Rome, Sept. 24 (LaPresse) – Dua Lipa fires her manager over his stance on the war in Gaza. According to the Daily Mail, the pop star became furious after David Leavy signed a letter calling for the removal of the pro-Palestinian Irish rap group Kneecap from the Glastonbury Festival.
According to the Daily Mail, Leavy, Dua Lipa’s agent at the WME agency, had signed a document sent to the founder of the renowned British festival, held in July. The letter explicitly demanded the removal of Kneecap from the lineup due to their alleged pro-Palestinian views and accusations of supporting Hezbollah and Hamas — claims the band has consistently denied.
Despite the controversy, Kneecap performed at the festival as scheduled. However, Dua Lipa did not spare her agent and decided to part ways with him.
