Cremonini: “I won't let anyone disrespect my story”

Milan, Nov. 20 (LaPresse) – “I dream, I wake up in the morning and dream. It's something I do every day. Through pain and mental illness, I have come to understand that dreams are a fundamental part of our lives. I offer others a dream; my uniqueness lies in my ability to dream.” Cesare Cremonini said this during a talk with Andrea Scanzi for Milan Music Week, at the Teatro Piccolo in Milan, for the presentation of the album “CremoniniLIVE25,” to be released tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 21. “Mine,” explained Cremonini, "is an interesting story to tell, neither beautiful nor ugly, but unique. Going from Lunapop to a solo career and failing was a case of discography. Coming home alone in the evening and having to manage myself was not easy. It was not easy to fail and fail again, and to have the pressure of being a guy who had had so much and now had to pay for having had that thing. It wasn't easy, either personally or artistically. It's a story that's nice to tell today because there's so much life in it; it's not a linear, banal story. When I say that I don't put anything before my career, I mean that I don't allow anyone to disrespect it, because no one can do that. It's the respect I give to my story."
