USA: Rapper Nicki Minaj commemorates Kirk, praises Trump and Vance

Rome, 22 Dec. (LaPresse/AP) – Rapper Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance yesterday at a conservative event in Arizona commemorating activist Charlie Kirk, using the stage to publicly praise US President Donald Trump and his deputy, JD Vance, whom she described as “role models” for young people. The rapper was interviewed by Kirk's widow, Erika, at the Turning Point USA AmericaFest convention and openly supported Trump – whom she had criticised in the past – particularly for his fight against violence against Christians in Nigeria. In her speech, Minaj mocked California Governor Gavin Newsom, considered one of the possible Democratic candidates for president in 2028. She then praised Trump and Vance, speaking of an administration “full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud. Our vice president, he makes me… well, I love them both. They both have this amazing ability to be people you can relate to”.
