Rome, Jan. 12 (LaPresse) – Laura Pausini will co-host the next Sanremo Festival alongside Carlo Conti for all five evenings, the artistic director announced on Tg1. “I’m very happy, excited,” the singer commented. “Sanremo is all my smiles, my fears, my temptation – and it is Carlo, he’s the one who convinced me.” “How did I convince her? I sang La solitudine under her house, completely out of tune,” Conti joked, “and she told me, ‘Stop it, I’ll do it.’” Pausini also admitted: “I think I’ll be a fan, you’ll have to help me because for some I’ll have preferences, and that’s not allowed. I’ll prepare for this.” “I was artistically born at Sanremo in 1993, and this year I return proud and moved because with all the honor and joy in the world, I will co-host the 76th edition of the Festival with Carlo Conti,” Pausini explained. “First times are never forgotten, and like a first kiss, I feel excited. I have spent all the years of my life watching Sanremo and never thought I would now be in this role. I thank Carlo; the esteem I’ve always felt for him has also become trust – he managed to unblock my fear of imagining myself as a host.” The singer will return to the stage of the Teatro Ariston for the first time as co-host, after her early career participations in 1993 and 1994, and six appearances as a special guest between 2001 and 2022.
