Iran, Madonna to protesters against the regime: "Hold on, revolution is necessary"

Rome, Jan 16 (LaPresse) – “Hold on. As I reflect on my time in Morocco during the holidays, I think of all the people in Iran who are fighting such a necessary revolution and are willing to die for what they believe in.” This was written on Instagram by pop star Madonna in support of the protests against the Tehran regime. “We take so much for granted, myself included. The freedom to travel the world. To wear what I want. To ride a horse through the desert. To speak freely and not be silenced by punishment, torture and perhaps death. To sing. To dance. To choose my own spiritual path, not someone else’s,” she added. “Iranian women do not have this freedom. I am with them. The Iranian people have not known freedom for centuries. I cannot claim to truly know the suffering that has been endured, but my thoughts and prayers are with the Iranian people. The time is now. Hold on. I stand with Iran, let their voices be heard,” she concluded.
