Rome, 13 February (LaPresse) – Franco Nero now shines among the greats of Hollywood. The Italian actor has earned his star on the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, alongside those dedicated to the greats of international cinema. Announcing the award, Walk of Fame director Ana Martinez said: ‘The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honour Franco Nero, who with his extraordinary work and lasting influence on international cinema truly deserves this recognition. His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrates a career that has inspired audiences of all generations and around the world.’ One of Italy's most internationally acclaimed actors, Nero (born Francesco Clemente Giuseppe Sparanero) made his debut in the spaghetti western genre with “Django” in 1996. The film later inspired Quentin Tarantino's “Django Unchained” (2012), in which Nero appears in a brief cameo. His other roles include Abel in the 1966 epic “The Bible” and General Ramon Esperanza in the 1990 action film “58 Minutes to Die – Die Harder”.
