Venice Biennale, Salvini: "I will visit Venice, no pavilion excluded"

Milan, May 4 (LaPresse) – “I have esteem for all my ministerial colleagues, this week I will be at the Venice Biennale, no pavilion excluded,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of an event in Milan, commenting on the controversy linked to the presence of the Russian and Israeli pavilions at the Venice Biennale. The League leader also spoke about Donald Trump’s recent threats to withdraw US troops from Italy. “I do not comment on threats, we focus on the reality of facts. As far as I am concerned, and I have said this since the war against Iran broke out, my priority, the priority of the League and of the entire government, is to contain and stop increases in the cost of living, diesel, electricity, gas and the shopping basket,” Salvini explained. He then added: “What the Italian government must do is invest in security, therefore hire police officers and Carabinieri, increase the presence of the ‘Strade Sicure’ operation, for example by deploying 10,000 more soldiers on the streets and in stations.”
