Turin: Tension During Protest for Ramy

Turin, January 9 (LaPresse) – Tensions arose Thursday evening in Turin during a march held in memory of Ramy Elgaml, the 19-year-old who died last November in Milan while riding on a scooter driven by a friend, following a chase with the Carabinieri. Protesters reached the police headquarters near the Porta Palatina, where they detonated firecrackers and vandalized the commissariat building. Participants chanted slogans against the Carabinieri present in the square. The march was organized by collectives linked to social centers.
