Naples, 19 April (LaPresse) – The condition of Thabet Suliman, the 23-year-old Arab with an Israeli passport who was injured in the accident on the Faito cable car and admitted to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples, remains ‘stable in seriousness’. The patient, says the medical bulletin issued by the hospital, remains in ‘critical condition’ and the prognosis remains reserved. The young man underwent orthopaedic surgery. This morning, ‘a clinical-instrumental re-evaluation is scheduled and in the absence of contraindications, the medical team will consider temporarily suspending sedation in order to assess the neurological objectivity. He remains intubated for airway protection and ventilatory support; currently mechanically ventilated under deep sedation,' the bulletin states. In the Faito cable car accident, which claimed four lives, Thabet Suliman's sister, 25-year-old Janan, died. The two were on holiday in Italy, as were the two British tourists Graeme Derek Winn and Elaine Margaret, husband and wife aged 64 and 57. The fourth victim is Carmine Parlato, 58, an Eav driver who was driving the crashed cabin.
