Pope: ‘Pain over femicides, relationships plagued by desire for domination’

Rome, 8 June (LaPresse) – The Spirit ‘also transforms those hidden dangers that pollute our relationships, such as misunderstandings, prejudices and exploitation. I also think – with great sorrow – of when a relationship is plagued by the desire to dominate the other, an attitude that often leads to violence, as sadly demonstrated by the numerous recent cases of femicide’. Pope Leo XIV said this in his homily for Pentecost Mass in St. Peter's Square. ‘Let us invoke the Spirit of love and peace, that he may open borders, break down walls and dissolve hatred,’ Prevost added.
