Rome, 8 June (LaPresse) – The woman and girl found dead yesterday in Villa Pamphili in Rome may have died at different times. In fact, according to findings yesterday evening, during the coroner's examination, the woman's body, found in a black plastic bag of the type used for rubbish, was in a much more advanced state of decomposition than the body of the child, which was found about 200 metres away. No obvious signs of violence were found on either body. Deputy prosecutor Antonio Verdi and assistant prosecutor Giuseppe Cascini are investigating the case as a double murder. The possibility that the tragedy may be linked to social deprivation and marginalisation has not been ruled out. For the time being, it appears unlikely that the two bodies were transported to Villa Pamphili by vehicle. The prosecutor's office is examining recent reports of missing persons, not only involving foreign nationals but also Italian women.
