Bullying: Istat, one in five children suffers from it

Rome, June 26 (LaPresse) – In 2023, 68.5% of young people aged 11 to 19 reported having been victims of at least one offensive, disrespectful, and/or violent behavior, online and/or offline, in the 12 months prior to the survey. 21% declared having been victims of bullying, meaning they experienced such behaviors continuously (several times a month), while 8% reported it happening several times a week. This information comes from the ISTAT report "Bullying and Cyberbullying in Relationships Among Young People," presented today at Palazzo Chigi in the presence of the Ministers of Family and Education, Eugenia Roccella and Giuseppe Valditara, the President of ISTAT, Francesco Maria Chelli, and the Director of the Department of Social and Demographic Statistics, Cristina Freguja.
