Rome, 27 June. (LaPresse) – According to LaPresse, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Rome has instructed the police to seize documentation this morning from the offices of the Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisuals of the Ministry of Culture (MIC) concerning the decision to grant alleged funding (in the form of a tax credit – ed.) to the film “Stelle della Notte”, which was never distributed. The project was allegedly conceived by Francis Kaufmann, also known under the fictitious identity of Rexal Ford, currently detained in Greece on charges of aggravated double murder. Kaufmann is believed to be responsible for the killing of Anastasia Trofimova and her daughter Andromeda, whose bodies were found on 7 June in Villa Pamphili, in Rome. Investigations are now focusing on links between the alleged director and the film production company Coevolutions, with registered office in Via Bertoloni 26, in the Parioli district. The company in question is not listed in the register of suspects, nor is its director, Marco Perotti. Investigators are examining the company's requests for access to state funds in order to reconstruct any financial and banking transactions linked to the suspect. The hypothesis is that the film project was used to obtain public funding fraudulently. The documents acquired will now be examined by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office.
