Milan, 1 August. (LaPresse) – Lorena Venier, the nurse from Gemona accused of murdering her son Alessandro, who was found dismembered in the basement of her home, has made a “full confession” to the public prosecutor regarding the charges against her, aware of the “monstrous and unnatural” act she committed. This was confirmed to LaPresse by the woman's lawyer, Giovanni De Nardo. Venier allegedly acted together with her 35-year-old son's partner, Marilyn Castro Monsalvoa, who was arrested with her. ‘My client made a full confession to the prosecutor who questioned her last night, answered all the questions and also provided a motive, which I will not disclose,’ said De Nardo. According to the mother's account, Alessandro Venier was killed last Friday, 25 July. The 61-year-old ‘is obviously very shaken and aware of her unnatural and monstrous act,’ added the lawyer, who will see his client in prison today as ‘many aspects of the case still need to be clarified.’ ‘Her main concern,’ De Nardo continued, ‘is for her six-month-old granddaughter, knowing that she may never see her again.’ The hearing to validate the arrest is scheduled for Monday.
