Bad weather in Romagna, the region: “Beaches already fully open and operational”

Naples, Aug 24 (LaPresse) – The heavy storm that hit the Romagna coast at dawn – over 50 mm of rain in 6 hours in the Rimini area, with peaks of 74.6 mm near the Ausa stream – did not stop tourist activities. While firefighters, law enforcement, and teams of civil protection operators and volunteers continue working tirelessly, all beaches are open and operational, welcoming thousands of tourists. “We are on the ground with all the mayors of the coast and the bathing and tourism operators,” said the president of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Michele de Pascale, and the regional tourism councillor, Roberta Frisoni. “The damage, though significant, is limited to a few very restricted areas, and services have already resumed, with beaches cleaned and ready to welcome tourists. It is yet another demonstration of the organization and efficiency of our community, which is used to rolling up its sleeves and never stopping. We thank all the volunteers, law enforcement, and firefighters who immediately went to work to restore the whole territory.”
