Milan, August 27 (LaPresse) – As reported by Corriere della Sera, the Civil Court of Milan has ordered the sister-in-law of Alessandro Impagnatiello to pay around 19,000 euros in compensation plus 5,000 euros in legal fees to the family of Giulia Tramontano for the “disappearance” of the Volkswagen T-Roc car used to transport and hide the body of the 29-year-old woman, who was killed on May 27, 2023, in Senago with 37 stab wounds while seven months pregnant. The woman, partner of the brother of the bartender sentenced to life imprisonment both in the first degree and by the Court of Assizes of Appeal in Milan, was allegedly involved in transferring the car through Omar Impagnatiello, her legal representative after the arrest for the murder and during the trials, with the aim of “reducing the patrimonial assets” of the then 30-year-old in view of compensation claims. On November 12, just 24 hours after the second-degree trial hearing, a civil hearing was held at the request of the lawyers representing the victim’s family, Giovanni Cacciapuoti (civil party) and Rosario Santella. The family demanded the return of the vehicle, which was never seized by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, which only seized the luggage compartment floor where the body was hidden, in order to proceed with the destruction of the vehicle used during the crime. On that date, the Impagnatiello family declared that the car had been stolen about ten days earlier and was no longer in their possession. The insurance company denied compensation, but according to the civil court judges, who issued the compensation ruling on August 11, 2025, this does not imply a refusal to recognize damages to Tramontano’s relatives.
