Milan, 31 August (LaPresse) – ‘A deadly tragedy’ that occurs ‘everywhere in the world’ with the shipwrecks of migrants: Pope Leo XIV, at the end of the Angelus in St. Peter's Square, remembered the 49 victims of the shipwreck off the coast of Mauritania. ‘Let us pray that the Lord will teach us, as individuals and as a society, to put into practice his words “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”,’ he said. ‘Let us entrust the wounded, the missing and the dead to the loving embrace of our Saviour.’
