Bad weather: yellow alert in Milan until 2 p.m. on Thursday

Rome, 24 September (LaPresse) – Milan is still under a yellow (ordinary) weather alert for hydrogeological risk until 2 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday 25 September, and for thunderstorm risk until 6 a.m. The alert has been issued by the Lombardy Region's Natural Risk Monitoring Centre. During alerts, it is recommended not to linger in green areas, parks and wooded areas, under and near construction scaffolding, outdoor seating areas and tents. Citizens are advised to pay particular attention when near areas at risk of river flooding and underpasses. Heavy rainfall north of Milan may lead to significant rises in water levels and a risk of flooding of the Lambro and Seveso rivers: caution is advised in areas of the city affected by these rivers. It is necessary to secure objects and pots on balconies and any other items that may be moved by bad weather. Throughout the duration of the alert, the Municipal Operations Centre (COC) of the Civil Protection Department of the Municipality of Milan will be active to monitor and coordinate any interventions in the city.
