Rome, 10 October (LaPresse) – An investigation conducted by investigators from the Primavalle Police District, led by Chief Inspector Stefania D'Andrea and coordinated by Deputy Public Prosecutor Giuseppe Travaglini of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Velletri, has uncovered drug trafficking and the use of mobile phones inside the Velletri prison. At the centre of the investigation is a 22-year-old Roman prisoner who was incarcerated for other crimes. According to the investigators' reconstruction, in the 27 pages of the pre-trial detention order, the drugs (cocaine and hashish) were brought into the prison during face-to-face visits, thanks to the complicity of two young women aged 20 and 18, who were romantically involved with the prisoner at the time of the investigation. In particular, according to investigators, the 18-year-old was involved in supplying cocaine to Di Pietrantonio in prison. The investigation led to the issuance of a pre-trial detention order for all three. The 22-year-old remained in prison, while the two girls were placed under house arrest.
