Milan, 15 October (LaPresse) – The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has requested preventive detention in prison for Gianluca Soncin for the murder of his 29-year-old partner Pamela Genini, who was killed on Tuesday evening in her flat in Via Iglesias in the Gorla area of Milan. Prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo and Deputy Prosecutor Letizia Mannella are charging the 52-year-old with voluntary manslaughter aggravated by premeditation and stalking. Although there are no reports of stalking against the 52-year-old filed by the victim, at least in Milan, more than one witness has reported threatening behaviour and threats against the woman, who was killed with numerous stab wounds. Furthermore, the man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, had brought the knife from home. A magistrate will decide on the request to validate the arrest and remand in custody.
