Rome, 4 November (LaPresse) – Sixty-seven-year-old worker Octay Stroici, who was trapped after the collapse of Torre dei Conti in the Imperial Forum area, has died. Extracted in critical condition by rescuers after more than 11 hours under the rubble, the man was transported to Policlinico Umberto I hospital but did not survive. The hospital reported that 'at 11:05 p.m., patient Octay Stroici arrived at the emergency room in cardiac arrest. He underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which, according to the 118 emergency personnel, had already been initiated at the site of the collapse. Upon arrival at the Emergency Department, the medical team continued resuscitation for about an hour. Despite this, spontaneous cardiac activity could not be restored. Despite the attempts made, death was pronounced at 00:20."
