Rome, November 19 (LaPresse) – The Court of Cassation has rejected the appeal against the decision of the Court of Appeal of Bologna, confirming the extradition to Germany of Serhii Kuznetsov, a 49-year-old former Ukrainian soldier accused of sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines in 2022. He will be handed over to Germany within a few days, after being taken into custody by officers of the German Bundespolizei. Kuznetsov's defense lawyer, acknowledging the Supreme Court's decision, stated that "the battle for rights and justice is far from over: it will continue in Germany, where my colleagues will finally be able to argue and develop the legal points we had prepared, once full access to the case file is finally guaranteed, something that has been systematically denied until now."
