Naples, 18 December. (LaPresse) – A ‘shrine’ dedicated to Emanuele Tufano, a 15-year-old boy killed on 24 October 2024 in Naples during a shootout between two groups of young people, was removed by the Carabinieri during an operation that led to the arrest of eight alleged members of the Sequino-Savarese clan active in the Rione Sanità district. The votive shrine had been set up in Piazza Sanità to pay homage to the minor, who was hit by a gunshot during a shootout between two groups belonging respectively to the Sanità and Mercato neighbourhoods, which took place in the narrow streets behind Corso Umberto on the night of 24 October 2024. The Carabinieri of the Naples investigative unit, coordinated by the Neapolitan District Anti-Mafia Directorate, also carried out several personal, premises and home searches aimed at finding weapons and ammunition.
