Caporalato, prosecutor: "Glovo should regularize 40,000 riders"

Milan, Feb. 9 (LaPresse) – Proceed with the “regularization” of 40,000 “workers” and monitor “compliance with regulations and working conditions” of Glovo riders. This is the task assigned by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office to accountant Andrea Adriano Romanò, appointed as judicial administrator of Foodinho srl in the judicial control decree for caporalato imposed urgently by prosecutor Paolo Storari and carried out by the Milan Carabinieri Labour Inspectorate Unit, which conducted the investigation. The judicial administrator has been entrusted with the task of stabilizing all riders who, at the start of the investigation, “were carrying out their work activity” for Foodinho, identified in the indictment as 2,000 in the city of Milan and 40,000 nationwide. In addition, the professional will have to adopt for the company “organizational structures,” even in “deviation” from those proposed “by the entrepreneur,” in order to “prevent” the “phenomena” of caporalato described in the 54-page order from “recurring” in the future.
