Femicide in Rome, Samson's mother: ‘I was afraid my husband would call the police’

Rome, 5 March (LaPresse) – "I didn't tell my husband anything because I was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle the news and would feel ill. I was afraid to tell him because he might have decided to call the police. When I recovered, he asked me if we had any bags and detergent. I told him that he just had to remove the bulk (of Ilaria's blood) and I would take care of the rest." Thus spoke Nosr Manlapaz, Mark Samson's mother, before the judges of the third section of the Court of Assizes of Rome, in the bunker courtroom of Rebibbia, where the trial is underway for the femicide of Ilaria Sula, killed by the 23-year-old in March 2025 in an apartment in the African quarter.
