Florence, 15 March (LaPresse) – A five-year-old girl has been admitted in a serious condition to the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence following injuries sustained in an accident that occurred this morning, at around 11 am, in Prato, on Via Braga, in the hamlet of Tavola. According to initial reports, the girl ran away from her mother and crossed the road just as a BMW driven by an Italian man was approaching; the driver was unable to avoid the collision. Paramedics from the 118 emergency service were on the scene to provide assistance. Given the severity of the girl’s injuries, the Pegaso helicopter was called in to transport her to Meyer Hospital, where doctors have not yet issued a prognosis.
