Venice, theft at Prada facility in Dolo: hundreds of shoes stolen

Milan, Mar. 19 (LaPresse) – Hundreds of shoes were stolen at dawn from the Prada facility in Dolo, in the province of Venice. A commando of at least 6 people, around 4 a.m., broke through the entrance of the facility and took away between 300 and 400 pairs of shoes. The economic damage is still being assessed, as is the exact number of pairs of shoes stolen from the facility where 700 pairs are produced daily. Carabinieri from Dolo and the Provincial Command of Venice arrived at the scene and are examining surveillance camera footage. The commando, to hinder or at least delay the arrival of law enforcement, used stolen cars to block the roads, creating a "ring" around the facility.
