Bergamo, 13-year-old’s note: “I’m going to kill my French teacher; she likes to humiliate me”

Rome, 26 March (LaPresse) – "I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer live like this. A life full of injustice, disrespect and trivialities – I’m fed up with it, so I’ve decided that the perfect solution is to take matters into my own hands. I’m going to kill my French teacher. The choice is not random, it is deliberate; she likes to single me out, humiliate me in front of everyone, make nasty comments, tell unfunny jokes and justify violence against me even when I was clearly the victim." This is what is written in the manifesto of the 13-year-old who yesterday stabbed his French teacher in Trescore Balneario, in the province of Bergamo, and which LaPresse has had the opportunity to view. "When I was punched by a skinny lad, I didn’t react; the teachers didn’t even notice – and there were two of them – I had to go to them and tell them what had happened, and this highlights just how much the school is failing. When my French teacher had the audacity to say I deserved it, the headteacher did nothing; she went unpunished for something so serious,” he wrote the day before the attack.
