Camorra: assets worth €5 million seized from the Quartieri Spagnoli clans

Naples, 30 April (LaPresse) – Eight orders for the preventive seizure of assets worth approximately €5 million have been executed by the State Police against eight individuals believed to be affiliated with Camorra clans operating in the centre of Naples. The orders were issued by the preventive measures section of the Court of Naples at the request of the Naples Public Prosecutor’s Office, and represent the outcome of a lengthy and complex investigation previously conducted by the Naples Mobile Squad in coordination with the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), which enabled the detailed reconstruction of assets, financial resources and ownership records attributable to the individuals targeted by the measures. This is an in-depth investigative and asset-related inquiry following on from previous investigations by the Naples Mobile Squad, which had already culminated in 2023 in the execution, against the same individuals, of pre-trial detention orders and preventive seizures. The execution of the measures was entrusted to the Naples Mobile Squad, which operated with the support of the Asset Prevention Measures Office of the Anti-Crime Police Division. According to the findings of the investigations, the individuals affected by the measures were allegedly involved in criminal networks deeply rooted in the city, particularly in the Quartieri Spagnoli area, and were allegedly part of a structured Camorra organisation dedicated to drug trafficking and dealing, operating through an established network of both traditional and ‘mobile’ drug-dealing spots, i.e. those operating via a home-delivery system for drugs.
