Garlasco: Andrea Sempio has arrived at the public prosecutor’s office in Pavia; he will not be answering questions from the prosecutor

Pavia, 6 May (LaPresse) – Andrea Sempio, who is under investigation as part of the new inquiry into the murder of Chiara Poggi, arrived by car, flanked by a crowd of journalists, photographers and camera crews, at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Pavia to be questioned. His lawyers, Angela Taccia and Liborio Cataliotti, announced yesterday that the 38-year-old will exercise his right to remain silent pending the conclusion of the investigation, which is expected shortly. The decision is based on the fact that the investigations, according to a statement issued by the lawyers, “are not yet complete and therefore the body of evidence to be addressed during questioning is not comprehensive”. Taccia and Cataliotti also stated that they had commissioned a psychotherapist to carry out a personality assessment of Sempio, deemed essential prior to the questioning, with the aim of “drawing up a personality assessment”.
