46-year-old man killed in Boscotrecase; suspect sought

Naples, 5 June (LaPresse) – A suspect has been identified in connection with the murder of Salvatore Solimeno, a 46-year-old man shot at least once this afternoon in Boscotrecase, in the province of Naples. According to an initial account provided by the Carabinieri, the murder is believed to have taken place in an area between the victim’s home on Corso Umberto I and that of the alleged killer on Via Promiscua. It was here that the 46-year-old, already known to the police, was struck by at least one bullet which severed his femoral artery. After being wounded, he is said to have made his way to his home, where he subsequently died. A search is underway for the main suspect, who is also known to the police. At the scene, where the duty public prosecutor from the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor’s Office and the coroner arrived, three bullet casings were found and seized. The Carabinieri are investigating to establish the motive behind the incident.
