Rome, 12 June (LaPresse) – Alberto Stasi will be able to leave prison and serve the remainder of his sentence under the supervision of social services. The go-ahead has been given by the Supervisory Court and the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office. This evening, according to LaPresse, the decision will be notified to Stasi’s defence team. Having been definitively convicted of the murder of his girlfriend Chiara Poggi, who was killed in her villa in Garlasco in 2007, Stasi, who was already on day-release, has thus been granted an alternative to imprisonment. The news was first reported by La7.
