Local Elections, Polls Open for Run-offs in 11 Municipalities in Trentino

Trento, May 18 (LaPresse) – Polls are open in eleven municipalities in Trentino for the run-off elections. Voting stations will remain open until 10:00 PM, with counting immediately after the polls close. In Arco, the challenge is between Arianna Fiorio, supported by six civic lists, and Alessandro Amistadi of the center-right. In Avio, Ivano Fracchetti, representing the League and center-right civic lists, is competing for the mayor's office against former mayor Federico Secchi. In Borgo Valsugana, the run-off is between civic candidate Martina Ferrai and Enrico Galvan. In Cavalese, Carlo Betta faces off against incumbent mayor Sergio Finato. In Cles, the run-off is a female contest between Stella Menapace, supported by the Trentino Tyrolean Autonomist Party, two center-right civic lists, and the backing of Brothers of Italy, and Paola Demagri, representing the Democratic Party and center-left civic lists. In Mori, Stefano Barozzi from the center-left is competing against Nicola Mazzucchi from the center-right. In Novella, the run-off is between Silvano Dominici and Donato Preti. In Pergine Valsugana, the third-largest city in Trentino, the contest is between center-right candidate Marco Morelli and civic candidate Carlo Pintarelli. In Riva del Garda, Alessio Zanoni from the center-left is up against Silvia Betta from Brothers of Italy, the Trentino Tyrolean Autonomist Party, and two civic lists. In Ville d'Anaunia, the run-off is between Giuliano Ghezzi and Fausto Pallaver. Finally, in Volano, citizens will choose between Emanuele Volani and Walter Ortombina.
