Rome, May 18 (LaPresse) – "There is a crisis in politics, the market and profit have replaced politics, and the market is becoming the State. We need to return to putting people at the center, there is a need for freedom based on work fulfillment, social justice, and the individual," said Maurizio Landini, the General Secretary of Cgil, at an event at the Turin Book Fair. "Voting can be our revolt, we are thinking of a peaceful, democratic revolt, to send a message to political forces to put people at the center again," he added. "I am traveling all over Italy, and I am seeing participation growing a lot. I stopped at a highway rest area, and two people, two entrepreneurs, stopped me and said they would vote. The other day, two young self-employed people told me they would vote: I believe everyone is realizing that change is needed."
