Rearmament, Calenda: ‘We will vote yes to increased spending, but bipolarism will not hold’

Rome, 24 June (LaPresse) – "We will be here to vote in favour of increasing defence spending and to defend it in the country, but the two-party system will not hold. Because within the two camps there are populist, anti-establishment and pro-Putin forces. This is why the great European families, including the conservatives, if you mention Thatcher, need to stand guard over Europe." These were the words of Action leader Carlo Calenda during his voting statements after Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's communications ahead of the European Council.
