Career separation, Meloni: ‘The reform dismantles the current system, let's move forward’

Rome, 22 July (LaPresse) – "Today, the Senate approved the constitutional bill on the separation of careers between prosecutors and judges and on disciplinary justice for magistrates that is not influenced by political affiliations. This is a fundamental step forward, and two more fundamental steps are needed to complete a reform that Italy has been waiting for too long. It has a threefold objective: to guarantee citizens a fair trial, to dismantle the political faction system within the CSM (High Council of the Judiciary) and to restore the authority and dignity that magistrates deserve. We will move forward with determination." This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a video posted on social media.
