Rome, August 20 (LaPresse) – "In recent days, I have read some press rumors suggesting that Pasquale Tridico’s willingness to run in Calabria is insincere. I want to be clear: this is neither my personal way of acting nor that of the M5S, which operates transparently and straightforwardly at coalition tables. I therefore confirm that the M5S is making Pasquale Tridico’s candidacy available to the entire coalition—a widely appreciated figure who, in a spirit of service, we offer as a valuable resource to the people of Calabria. Alongside him, as already announced in coalition talks, there are equally respected candidates Vittoria Baldino and Anna Laura Orrico. Together with other coalition forces, we will start from here to choose—beyond the best program—the candidate deemed most suitable to represent the need for change," wrote M5S President Giuseppe Conte in a statement.
"This is a great opportunity for a land and a community often neglected, and all M5S representatives clearly understand the chance we have today to turn the page," he added.
