Milan, 14 September (LaPresse) – ‘We are not allies with the PD, it's different. We are building a political project to send Meloni home. Declaring ourselves allies in advance and prejudicially risks weakening us’. This was stated by M5S leader Giuseppe Conte, speaking at the Festa del “Fatto Quotidiano” in Rome. ‘We cannot declare ourselves allies, we are a different force, we have a different vocation than the idea of the Oak with bushes around it. Our tradition is made up of strategic objectives: that said, our priority is to send Meloni home,’ stressed the leader of the Five Star Movement. ‘In this experience we are having with the regional elections, we are not declaring a priori that we are allies. We have worked region by region to build a project. With effort, time after time, we have checked whether our priorities were being considered and whether a competitive candidate could be found. When this result is not achieved, and it has happened, we do not participate,’ added the former prime minister.
