Budget law, Urso: “The rift is already mended, in Europe there is more fighting”

Milan, Dec. 21 (LaPresse) – “Problems were resolved at the summit at Palazzo Chigi: nothing compared to what happens in the rest of Europe and, more generally, in the West. The International Monetary Fund has called the Italian government an ‘anchor of stability’ in Europe, with ‘results that exceed expectations.’ It was not easy to combine the necessary fiscal discipline with growth, development, and social equity. Under Giorgia Meloni’s leadership, we have succeeded,” says Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso in an interview with La Stampa.

“Our goal was to activate the new Transition 5.0 plan as quickly as possible and make it structural and ongoing over time. And we succeeded.” Regarding the results achieved in Brussels concerning Green Deal constraints and CBAMs related to carbon emissions, Urso said, “We formed an alliance with Germany that allows us to have a majority in the Council, and the same has been achieved in the European Parliament among the Populars and Conservatives, already reflected in the first Omnibus package on simplifications, deforestation, and corporate due diligence.”
