Rome, Feb. 16 (LaPresse) – The visit to Niguarda Hospital in Milan, where the young people injured in Crans-Montana are hospitalized, was a moment of "extraordinary humanity, as well as professionalism." This was recalled by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during a meeting this morning in Turin with the editorial staff of the newspaper La Stampa, when he was presented with a reproduction of the front page of the paper showing him at the Milan hospital wearing a mask, gown, and protective shoe covers. The Head of State highlighted the role of the "community of parents, which is deeply united: this has a precious therapeutic role as well as an affectionate one, of course," he emphasized. "Thinking about what they went through, the first moments, fortunately things are going a little better, but naturally still with great challenges ahead. And the doctors… because having to suddenly manage numerous concurrent burn cases is something that requires extraordinary expertise, which they demonstrated," he concluded.
