Rome, 17 February (LaPresse) – ‘We note that, despite the promise made by the Minister of Justice just two weeks ago that, if the referendum were to pass, the implementing law would be the result of a joint effort involving the judiciary, the legal profession and academia, in reality everything has already been decided.’ This was stated by ANM Secretary Rocco Marotti when contacted by LaPresse. ‘But then again, if there was no willingness to discuss a constitutional amendment, I don't see why there should be any willingness to draft the implementing law,’ he added. ‘It is just unfortunate that, once again, the minister is calling for dialogue without any real intention of actually engaging in dialogue.’
