Rome, 18 February (LaPresse) – ‘I will go to Washington to represent Italy as an observer at this first meeting of the Board of Peace, to be present when discussions are held and decisions are made on the reconstruction of Gaza and the future of Palestine.’ This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani upon his arrival in Tirana. ‘Italy has always been a key player in the Mediterranean area. We cannot fail to be part of a strategy that will see us still at the forefront,’ he added. ‘We must continue to do what we have always done to build peace and stability throughout the Middle East. This is a political choice that respects the Constitution of the Republic,’ he said.
