Mattarella: ‘Today there is a demand to act outside the rules and supranational bodies’

Milan, 10 March (LaPresse) – ‘There is a new demand to break the commitments made after the Second World War to bring order to international relations on the basis of equality between states. The demand, in fact, is to act outside the rules of states and supranational bodies, eroding the sovereignty of the former and the growing positive role of the latter.’ This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, during the ceremony in which he was awarded an honorary master's degree in “Politics, Institutions and the Market” by the University of Florence, as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the “Cesare Alfieri” School of Political Science.
