Yerevan (Armenia), 4 May (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni held talks today with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit currently taking place in Yerevan. According to a statement from Palazzo Chigi, during the meeting the Prime Minister secured “President Parmelin’s political commitment that the families of the Italian youths affected by the tragedy in Crans-Montana will not be required to pay any costs relating to hospital treatment provided in Switzerland”. “As regards the issue of the billing of hospital costs between states,” the statement continues, “President Parmelin pointed out that the Swiss Federal Council is currently conducting in-depth discussions aimed at identifying an acceptable solution.” “In expressing her appreciation for the attention shown, Meloni reiterated her full willingness to maintain constant dialogue in order to facilitate a swift and definitive resolution of the matter,” the statement concludes.
